Day 10: Sponsor a Local Business Event – Maximize Visibility and Community Influence

Welcome to Day 10 of the 12x12 Agent Fast Start Challenge! Today is all about elevating your presence by sponsoring a local business event or meetup. This isn’t just about branding—it’s about engaging with your community, forming partnerships, and earning referrals through authentic visibility.

Today's Objectives

  • Identify a strategic local event to sponsor

  • Actively participate and network at the event

  • Follow up to strengthen relationships made

1. Identify a Local Business Event or Meetup to Sponsor

Steps:

  • Search platforms like Eventbrite, Meetup, or your local chamber of commerce for events

  • Choose a function attended by professionals, families, or homeowners

  • Contact organizers to explore sponsorship packages and visibility opportunities

  • Confirm your participation and finalize branding logistics

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours

Why It Matters:
Sponsoring relevant events gets your brand in front of high-value prospects while demonstrating your commitment to the local economy.

2. Sponsor and Attend the Event

Steps:

  • Prepare branded materials: business cards, flyers, workshop invites

  • Arrive early to set up if you have a table or booth

  • Network genuinely—ask questions, learn about others, and build rapport

  • Mention your real estate services casually and share upcoming event invites

  • Collect business cards or contact info for post-event follow-up

Sample Conversation Starter:
“Hi, I’m [Your Name], a real estate agent in the area. I love supporting our local events and meeting great people in the business community!”

Time Commitment: 4–6 hours

Why It Matters:
People prefer doing business with familiar faces. Being visible and approachable at events turns you from a stranger into a trusted connection.

3. Follow Up with Attendees and Organizers

Steps:

  • Thank organizers for the opportunity and offer future support

  • Send personalized follow-ups to attendees with relevant conversation reminders

  • Invite them to your next workshop or networking function

  • Add all connections to your CRM with tagged notes for future engagement

Time Commitment: 1–2 hours

Why It Matters:
Events make first impressions. Your follow-up ensures those impressions evolve into real relationships and opportunities.

Daily Task Summary

  • Identify Event to Sponsor: 1–2 hours

  • Attend & Engage: 4–6 hours

  • Follow-Up: 1–2 hours

  • Total Time Commitment: 6–10 hours

Morning & Evening Tasks

Morning:

  • Call new leads from Facebook

  • Respond to DM inquiries

  • Time: 1–2 hours

Evening:

  • Call leads who came in throughout the day

  • Follow up on earlier conversations

  • Time: 1–2 hours
