Day 2: Send 100 DMs and Build Real Estate Relationships That Convert [2025 Edition]
Day 2: Send 100 DMs and Build Organic Conversations – Real Estate Networking Made Simple
Welcome to Day 2 of the 12x12 Agent Fast Start Challenge! Today is all about connection—real, human connection. The kind that builds trust, strengthens your network, and paves the way for future clients.
You're not selling today. You're showing up. You’re reaching out with authenticity, catching up with old contacts, and introducing yourself as a real estate professional in a natural, personal way.
Today's Objectives
Send 100 Direct Messages (DMs)
Build Genuine Relationships
Casually Introduce Yourself as a Real Estate Agent
1. Send 100 Direct Messages (DMs)
Create a meaningful outreach effort by initiating conversations with 100 people from your social network. This isn’t a pitch—it’s a reconnection.
Steps:
Build your contact list from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
Personalize each message using their recent posts or shared interests
Use a friendly, authentic tone
Send via direct messaging tools on each platform
Sample DM
Hey [Name],
It's been a while! I saw your post about [recent topic]—that looked amazing! Would love to catch up and hear what you’ve been up to lately.
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours
Why It Matters: Your sphere of influence is your most powerful starting point. Today, you're planting the seeds that turn into referrals and clients down the road.
2. Build Genuine Relationships
The key today is not pitching. It’s listening. The most effective conversations are about them—not you.
Steps:
Focus 90% of the discussion on them
Ask about family, hobbies, and recent milestones
Show curiosity, empathy, and active listening
Don’t mention listings, open houses, or appointments
Why It Matters: Trust and authenticity lead to influence. People refer agents they know, like, and trust—this is how you become that agent.
3. Introduce Yourself as a Real Estate Agent
Only after the relationship is established do you casually share your new professional path.
How to Mention It:
Let it come up naturally
Express your excitement and passion
Avoid anything salesy or transactional
Example Conversation Snippet:
Them: "What have you been working on?"
You: "Actually, I recently got licensed in real estate. It's been a really exciting new chapter!"
Why It Matters: You’re not selling—you’re sharing. That clarity builds brand awareness without triggering resistance.
